MESSAGE BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF PYRGA

On behalf of the Community Council, welcome to the website of the Community of Pyrga.
Our Community is located in the centre of Cyprus. The natural environment, in which the village is built, is simply idyllic. Every visitor is enchanted by the sight as the community is surrounded by beautiful green areas full of wild flowers, as well as mountains covered in pine trees, which in turn enjoy the shadow of the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni. Also located near the village is the church of Panagia Stazousa.
The rich history of the Community, its mild cool climate, in combination with its unobstructed view, are the elements which attract several foreigners in the community.
Pyrga has been developing rapidly over the past decades, thus becoming a modern Community offering optimum conditions for the well-being of its residents.
The purpose and objective behind the creation of our website are to inform our visitors regarding the history, culture, natural beauties and activities of the Community, as well as to attract the interest of those who are not familiar with Pyrga so that they will come and visit it.
